Photo Ops

Every once in a while I need to take a hiatus from writing; clear my head from the research I've been doing and the letters to editors I've been sending. I try and stop thinking about how I'm going to make the trip out to the coast to get that interview and whether or not it's a good idea to hop on board another Fam trip. It never ends up that way, but I like to think I can get away from it once in a while.

On those nights I just like to take my camera and focus on the city and its subjects (or whatever landscape is ahead of me). Here are a few from last night:

(Cars drive past in a flash around historic Flinder's Station: Michael Lowe)

(The full moon shines through wired red glowsticks in Federation Square: Michael Lowe)

(City lights bounce of the snaking Yarra River in the heart of Melbourne: Michael Lowe)

(Fireballs ignite pillars in the hourly display put on by the Crown Complex; an apt finale to a great night: Michael Lowe)
